A few of my favorites from this pre-Christmas shoot.

What a sweet shoot with this family at Healing with Horse Ranch.
This family had seen my photos of Flitch Coffee on my coffee website roasterreview.com and wanted to have their Christmas shoot there.
Just a few favorites from a recent shoot with this lovely family and doggo.

Here's an evening spent in MB Johnson park in Moorhead. I hung out with this family and their gorgeous dog (who only slobbered on me a couple of times). Whenever the kid wasn't cooperating, I took shots of the dog, and I'm pretty happy with them. The weather is finally nice, and the grass is getting greener. If you're looking for some family pictures, please do send me a message! But until then, enjoy these pictures of a wild boxer, a curious child, and their owners.
Saturday's mini-sessions were a blast. Beautiful families, fun couples, and adorable children. I scheduled another mini-session day you can sign up for, but you should see these families first!
Ron, as with most people I know, I met at the coffee shop. He's an incredible barista and epic hippie. I recently met his three kids, and I think they love him more than any kids I've ever seen during a photoshoot. He stressed that he didn't want them to dress up if they didn't want to, and they also wore silly hats and glasses.
Thanks for the fun sessions, guys. Definitely take a look at the next session if you need some family pics, couple pics, or shots of you and your cat.
Three kids under 10 can be difficult to shoot sometimes, but we managed to grab some good shots.
We were walking to a new location when the big brother ran up behind the little one and slammed him on the ground. We waited for cries to ring out, but they just started to wrestle like all good brothers should.
This little one seemed to make all the faces except the one we wanted him to make. He knew exactly what he was doing, too. He eventually cooperated with the bribery of Oreos.
My studio was transformed into a household of 5 quicker than I could have ever thought. Toys and games were on the floor, dirty diapers in my trash, and a crying baby on the table. This is the context to the situation. It's not as calm as it seems, but I loved it.
And what would this blog post be without a couple of pictures of Dan's viking beard. He says he may be getting rid of it, so if you see him, please advise him against such a detrimental decision.
You know maternity photos went well when they have you back once the baby is born. Little Thomas is 3 weeks old, and adorable as ever.
Babies are my absolute favorite. Every time I shoot with one, I want it......I mean, I want to have one for myself. Oops. This would require a wife, which would also require a girlfriend, so I think I'll just hang with other peoples' babies until the time comes.
I told Aaron to give me his best, "What the heck do I do with this?" face, and I think he did pretty well. He's the type that makes jokes I appreciate. The Dad jokes - and in this case, the most literal sense. We were trying out poses, and we set Thomas on the 'Altar' in the yard, as he called it. It was really just a patio table from the porch. His wife didn't appreciate it, but I chuckled inside. It is a somewhat eerie shot, and I kinda like it.
So, on to James - the first addition to the family. He is a little fiery ball of energy. He probably has the most consistent mischievous facial expressions of any kid I've seen. It was difficult to get him to drop his plastic sword, because he claimed he was a pirate.. Just like in our other two shoots, he gets a bit pouty toward the end, but Mom bribed him with his favorite TV show, and we were good.
Thanks for the fun session, guys! Let's do it again sometime
